The individuals nominated should have made a significant impact or positive influence that assures the future of our industry in the lives of generations to come.

 

Once nominated, an individual’s biography and photo are updated on the site, and he or she is placed in the polls for voting. At the end of the year the committee takes into consideration the votes and decides which candidates are inducted.

 

Those with a star (*) next to their name below were either inducted posthumously or have passed away since being inducted.

 

Nomination Qualifications

  • Person with integrity and passion
  • Minimum 20 years in industry
  • Someone who has developed  or invented  new technology
  • Has made contributions that resulted in change
  • Contributed to mankind’s needs in his field
  • Provided education and encouragement  with self-sacrifice
  • Changed the industry

Pamela Galera

 

Pam is the Director of Parks, Recreation and Community Services in the City of Riverside. With 30 years of experience, Pamela has assisted in creating strong communities to meet the needs of growing, aging, and changing populations. 

 

Pamela is a licensed Landscape Architect and received her undergraduate degree from Cal Poly Pomona and a Master’s in Public Administration from Cal State Fullerton. Pamela began her career in the private sector and was employed by the Orange County Transportation Authority, City of Orange, and most recently served as the City of Anaheim’s Parks Manager.

 

Through her collaborative efforts on social and green infrastructure, she has had a positive impact on policy makers, allied professionals, colleagues, and neighborhoods. Pamela has participated in several efforts on homelessness, and under her leadership, parks have been returned to the uses that they were intended for, including sports and recreational activities by families and seniors. 

 

Pamela managed the funding and implementation of a system of trails and parks in the City of Orange on the Santiago Creek and in Anaheim on the Santa Ana River. 

 

Pamela is now working on ‘putting the river back in riverside’ with economic development opportunities that will create an urban interface with a network of natural habitats, art installations, parks, bike paths and trails in Riverside.
